Early on Tuesday 23rd August, a fire occurred at Western Land Reclamation site at 124 Bunting Road Brooklyn. EPA was notified of the issue through media reports. Western Land Reclamation notified the EPA Client Relationship Manager and EPA’s Pollution Response Unit Officers attended the site after the fire had been put out. There were no visable offsite impacts with no smoke or steam visable during the inspection. There was no visable runoff from the site. Air monitoring stations in the area did not show air quality impacts form the fire on nearby residents.
