Brimbank City Council – this is to be confirmed by Brimbank

The City of Brimbank is the second largest municipality in Melbourne with an area of 123 square kilometres and more than 170,000 residents. The Brooklyn Industrial Precinct sits within the Brimbank municipality.

Brimbank City Council aims to provide facilities and services within its industrial precincts that facilitate investment, provide infrastructure and create a positive local climate for business to thrive and create employment. The Brooklyn Industrial Precinct is a priority for Brimbank City Council for review and progress towards developing a long term management plan for the precinct.

Operators in the Brooklyn Industrial Precinct are required to have a council permit to operate a business. The permit states the conditions of operation for the business. Brimbank City Council receives and assesses applications for permits by industries. The Council also has authorised Officers that check compliance with permit conditions.

Local government will investigate community reports of breaches of planning conditions. Local Government also meet regularly with individual businesses and can raise concerns of residents with individual businesses.
